SmartVis Alarm Management (Alarm Service 2.0)

SmartVis Identifier is a real-time face recognition application from Digital Barriers. Identifier publishes a meta-data stream, in XML, which details all ongoing face-recognition events. This includes any face-detection and recognition events. The figure below shows an example of the meta-data output from a camera stream. A document detailing the format of the meta-data stream can be found below.

The SmartVis Alarm Service is a separate application which listens to the metadata stream being published by SmartVis Identifier and acts upon the events being received. A set of rules can be defined to define the actions that will occur and under what conditions. The current Alarm Service is able to turn sightings into e-mails and HTTP callbacks (aka. webhooks). The Alarm Service is plugin based so new actions can be integrated, such as the sending of Alarms to a VMS such as Milestone. Please contact Digital Barriers support for more information on this.

The SmartVis Alarm Service is a separate application which listens to the metadata stream being published by Identifier and acts upon the events being received according to a set of rules set-up during configuration. For example, it can be used to end Email alerts on specific identification events.
